Former Barcelona and Real Madrid midfielder Luis Figo has said that he expects Inter Milan’s Mateo Kovacic to be one of the best playmakers in the world. He is often compared alongside his compatriot Luka Modric and Figo thinks that the comparisons are correct.

The 19-year-old playmaker has been in stunning form for the club this season. He has already started seven league matches, as Inter Milan have made a good start under new manager Walter Mazzarri.

Luka Modric is regarded as one of the best Croatian players in the last decade. He is currently playing for Real Madrid. After a difficult first season at the Spanish club, he has established himself as one of the important members of the team. Portuguese legend Figo, who is an ambassador for Inter Milan, says that Kovacic will be at the level of Modric in the next few years if he continues to develop in the same way.

Even though he is only 19 years old, he has already made his debut for the Croatian national team.
